SUE DE BEER (b.1973) is an American video and installation artist. Her early body of work often focuses on matters of the occult as seen through the eyes of teenagers. She explores suicide, terrorism and angst through videos and environments. She is part of a community of artists who are interested in the residue of spiritualism in contemporary sub-cultures.
In 2000 she collaborated with Laura Parnes to make an un-authorized sequel to Mike Kelley and Paul McCarthy's “Heidi” video. |
