THE TEENAGE ART MANIFESTO was written by Rachel Howe for the art-zine K48, issue 3/ Teenage Rebel. It was also included in the Teenage Bedroom Show at John Connelly Presents in 2002. The manifesto distilled a type of work being made at this time in New York.

Excerpt: Teenage art is not an attempt to reclaim youth after it has passed, but an effort to expose the dishonesty of the domesticated adult experience, which is best served by reviving the emotional and psychological convictions of teenage-hood.”
