This project, within the context of a class on distribution, was to re-design a money system. In my re-design, money is a series of sheets carrying the mark of an individual's finger. Through a series of glyphs and parameters each transaction made, imprints a symbol onto the blank page. The glyphs are originally based on japanese seals called mons (like crests, these were family seals) and as the transactions build up, a pattern emerges. Like Mons, the pattern is specific to each individual and can be called " an identity pattern" settling comfortably into the notion: you are what you buy.
